Ed Lafferty | Biography
Ed is a General Partner and Chief Financial Officer for Saturn Partners. He has over thirty years of experience in private equity and venture capital and has actively participated in all stages of company development from business plan creation and early-stage financing through IPO. He provides deal flow to Saturn, investigates investment opportunities, and works closely with the management teams of several of Saturn’s portfolio companies developing growth strategies, arranging financing, recruiting key employees, implementing technologies, building relationships with strategic partners, customers, and advisors, and harvesting opportunities. He is also Saturn’s workout specialist. On several occasions, he has taken active interim operating roles. His areas of focus are typically opportunities in specialty energy, transportation, advanced materials, and financial technologies.
Ed began working with Saturn in January of 2001 when he helped transition the firm from a broker-dealer, specializing in private placements to a venture capital firm. Since 2001, Saturn Partners has raised three early-stage venture capital funds and arranged nine co-investment funds with over $250 million under management. The firm also operates a broker dealer that has raised over $300 million of private capital.
Since its inception in 1994, Saturn has invested in and financed several successful cutting-edge technology companies including Constant Contact, Axioma, Panopto, Knopp Biosciences, Omaze, and Third Pole Therapeutics as well as more traditional businesses including Boston Duck Tours, Twin Rivers, 3form and Xpress Natural Gas.
Prior to working at Saturn, Ed worked for Berkshire Partners, one of the industry’s premier private equity firms. Based in Boston, MA, Berkshire Partners has attracted over $10 billion of capital under management. Berkshire typically invests in middle-market companies in the manufacturing, retail, communication, and transportation industries.
He received his MBA from Bentley College and his BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University. He has earned FINRA designations of Registered Representative (Series 7 and 63) and Financial Principal (Series 27).

Jonathan Leitner

Jonathan Leitner | Biography
Jonathan Leitner joined HoldCo Asset Management in February 2020 and serves as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining HoldCo, he held various senior positions, including as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, at Altai Capital Management from October 2009 to January 2020.
Prior to Altai, Jonathan held senior accounting positions at Cyrus Capital Partners from June 2005 to September 2009 and GoldenTree Asset Management from December 2002 to June 2005. Jonathan started his career at Ernst & Young.
Jonathan is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University.

Gregory Nolff

Gregory Nolff | Biography
Greg Nolff, CFO at ICV Partners, LLC has worked with them as a shared CFO since 2003 as part of ICV's affiliation with American Securities, LLC where he ran their common back office support resources through 2013, at which time he began serving ICV full-time.
Prior to joining the American Securities affiliated group, Mr. Nolff worked as the CFO for a family office, Mentmore Holdings, which made direct private control investments in lower middle market industrial companies. His eight years of experience there included performance of transaction due diligence, troubled asset restructuring and capital project financings in addition to traditional financial reporting, taxation and office administration.
Prior to that, Greg spent eleven years in public accounting, the final three of which were as senior manager in the transactional services group with Deloitte & Touche in New York. Mr. Nolff is an inactive CPA and received a BS in Accounting from Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.

Matthew Rosenthal

Mathew Rosenthal | Biography
Matt is a founder and Managing Partner of Eastham Capital. Matt is responsible for overseeing all operations of the company. Matt, along with Eric Silverman founded Eastham Capital and launched their first multifamily real estate fund in 2007. Since that time, Eastham Capital has purchased, renovated and/or sold approximately $3 Billion worth of properties consisting of 35,000 apartments in 150 apartment communities, in six funds.
Matt is also a non-executive founder of Stratford Management, which since 1994 has been acquiring, rehabbing, stabilizing and managing multifamily properties. Stratford currently owns and manages approximately 3,000 apartment units.
Matt began his career in 1983, at age 16, when he was named the Director of Operations of The Princeton Review, with full responsibility for all Princeton Review operations in New York, including course operations, selling franchises, and franchisee training. In 1985, Matt relocated and founded The Princeton Review of Boston. Matt and his partner Rob Cohen grew their companies to become the largest franchise network of The Princeton Review. In 1990, his franchises were selected to be a member of the Inc. 500, as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. Their franchised territories comprised Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, New Jersey, Montreal and Hawaii. In 2001, Matt and Rob’s franchises were purchased by the franchisor in conjunction with its IPO.
Matt is a Trustee of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation. Matt was formerly Treasurer, head of the Finance Committee and a Director of Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Boston. In addition, he was formerly a member of the Finance Committee of the Town of Weston, Massachusetts. Matt is a graduate of the Inc. magazine and MIT sponsored Birthing of Giants program and a former member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO). Matt attended the University of Chicago and the Harvard University Extension School. Matt lives in Boca Raton with his wife, Hilary and their three children.

Mr. Ian Silverman (Partner & Chief Financial Officer) joined Siris in 2013.
Prior to joining Siris, Mr. Silverman worked at Tenex Capital Management and was responsible for finance, tax, administration and human resources. Before joining Tenex Capital, he spent over 8 years at Ripplewood Holdings LLC, where he most recently served as Chief Financial Officer.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Silverman held finance and accounting roles at Morgan Stanley and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Silverman has a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers College. He is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute and New York Society of Security Analysts.

Joyson Thomas

Joyson Thomas | Biography
Mr. Thomas has served as our Chief Financial Officer since August 2019. Mr. Thomas joined H.I.G. Capital in April 2017. Before becoming our Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Thomas was Controller for the WhiteHorse Direct Lending platform within H.I.G. Capital’s Credit platform, which includes the Company as well as other pooled investment vehicles and separately managed accounts. He is responsible for the financial reporting and operations oversight of all WhiteHorse Direct Lending vehicles.
Mr. Thomas has more than 15 years of experience in the asset management industry with a focus on credit strategies. From January 2014 until joining H.I.G. Capital, Mr. Thomas was a Principal and Controller for MatlinPatterson’s Asset Management (“MPAM”) platform, where he oversaw the finance function for various credit strategies spanning performing and distressed credit, mortgage-backed securities as well as CLO structures. Prior to joining MPAM, Mr. Thomas was the Global Controller at Clearwater Capital Partners (now a subsidiary of Fiera Capital), an Asian credit-focused investment firm.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Thomas was a Manager in the Transaction Services practice and prior to that a Senior Associate in the audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Canisius College and also serves on the Board of Directors for ACG South Florida. Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance, summa cum laude, from Canisius College — Richard J. Wehle School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
